Hundreds Pedal Freely In LA’s World Naked Bike Ride (NSFW Photos)

As bare as you dare.

The annual World Naked Bike Ride rolled its naked self through Los Angeles on Saturday. And as suggested in the name, there were naked people.

Everywhere.

When I first read about this international event, which aims to create a body-positive atmosphere as well as a car-free lifestyle, I thought it was amusing.

The clothing-optional (read that as no clothing) bike ride met at the corner of Baker and Spring streets and went on a figure-8 route through Downtown Los Angeles, Echo Park and the LA River.

Participants bring some form of “human-powered transport,” including bikes, skateboards and inline skates, and decorate their naked bodies with paint. Some write messages of “Freedom,” “Born to be nude” and “Less gas, more ass” across their backs.

But it’s not until you walk amongst the masses of people (posing for photos, proudly strutting their nakedness, having totally normal conversations with strangers while letting it all hang freely) that one fully understands the meaning of giving zero f*cks.

Here are some of the photos I took (NSFW because butts):
